Last Day of Spring Term!

Today, I had to turn in my final portfolio for my
advanced writing class at BYU. I didn’t time my day very well. The portfolio was due at 5 and I got out of class at 3, so I had 2 full hours to compile everything. Instead of getting right to work, I called Lindsay on my way home from class and talked to her for about a half-hour. When I got home, I spent time looking at blogs, talking to friends, and milling around the apartment. When it came down to it, one of my drafts wasn’t on the computer, so I had to re-type the entire thing. To top everything off, I forgot about the cover sheet that had to be turned in with it, and at 5 minutes to 5:00 printed everything off. I ran out the door and called my professor. He was just leaving his office. I ran as fast as I could up to campus. The flower fell out of my hair and I kicked my flip-flops off so I could run faster. I turned it in just as my professor was walking to the parking garage. I think it should be a rule that you can’t graduate from BYU without chasing down one of your professors.

oh I am the worst at time management, I know how you felt on that day. But it's you-Kristin...I'm surprised :) I guess being in love does that to us :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it! Definitely have...though he hadn't made it to the parking garage yet.
ReplyDeleteThis is a perfect example of our innate desire for drama. :o) Have you seen "He's Just Not That Into You"? Apparently girls crave drama, so we wait until the last minute to pay bills and do homework, etc.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you made it! And you made me laugh with your comment about it being a graduation requirement to chase down a professor
ReplyDeleteyou are so like your mother!
